Job Description

Field Maintenance Engineers 

Greater London and South West

Salary up to £32,000 - £37,000 (Depending on Experience) + Fully Expensed Car + Bonus + 25 Days holiday + Full Training

With over 20 years' experience and a network of highly trained engineers, Lasertronic is one of the UK’s leading providers of medical laser servicing and repair.  As a wholly owned subsidiary of sk:n Clinics, we maintain and repair an extensive range of medical lasers, cooling equipment and base stations nationwide to ensure minimum disruption to our clients.  We are currently experiencing significant growth in demand in a rapidly expanding market place and therefore, we are now recruiting for two Field Maintenance Engineers to join our team.

 Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repair, test, calibrate and install laser systems, sub-systems and/or sub-assemblies
  • Report any potential problems which could impact timely completion of assigned tasks, equipment shortcomings, and more complex equipment problems
  • Maintain complete and accurate service records
  • Provide on-site technical support to clinics as required
  • Provide on-site technical support for workshops and/or shows
  • Some overnight travel may be required

Critical Competencies:  

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems using schematic diagrams
  • Be able to fault find down to component level.
  • Familiarity with computer packages DOS, Word and Excel
  • Maintain company assigned vehicle, tools, computer, phone and test equipment in satisfactory condition.
  • Continually develop knowledge of laser equipment.
  • Adhere to company guidelines regarding safety procedures
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures for expenses, purchases and ordering of spare parts

  • Communicate and share knowledge amongst fellow Engineers.
  • Flexibility, professionalism and quality workmanship.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 kilos

Education and Experience Requirements: 

Essential:

  • Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2-3 years plus, related field service experience in medical electronics equipment or similar field or in electronics engineering within the armed forces.

 Desirable:

  • Experience of working with Laser technology.
